Supplementing vegetables such as Broccoli, carrots and tomatoes has made a world of difference in Bisha’s increased energy and fast growing metabolism.

Research has shown vegetarians to suffer less heart disease, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, various cancers, diverticular disease, bowel disorders, gall stones, kidney stones, and osteoporosis. With heart disease at its highest rate of leading cause of death in America, Bisha chose to change her eating habits to prolong her future with a healthy heart.

Though Marina has trouble eating dinner with the rest her family she is still proud of the choice she’s made to never eat meat again. Bisha also explained that she finds it difficult to pick restaurants to eat at with her friends because none of them are vegetarian, but try to find places that fulfill all of their eating preferences.  According to Bisha, the positive side to all of this is her family and friends are very supportive and will do anything to make her comfortable when eating vegetarian meals.
